Turn a Stitch Fiddle pattern into an interactive crochet guide
Stitch Fiddle is great for designing a chart, but once you start crocheting you're back to counting stitches while going back and forth in the PDF. Pixel Crochet — a free, open-source app — reads text patterns in Stitch Fiddle's format and turns them into an interactive guide: it shows you the current row, its reading direction and the counted color blocks, and saves your progress automatically.
How it works
- Open Pixel Crochet — no account, no signup.
- Export your Stitch Fiddle chart as text and paste it into the app.
- Review the colors and remap them to the yarn you actually own.
- Follow the pattern row by row: tap each block as you finish it, and if you stop, your progress is saved where you left off.
Why it's not just another chart generator
Most tools generate the chart or the PDF and leave the counting to you. Pixel Crochet is designed around following the pattern: one active row at a time, blocks counted for you, and progress persisted locally so a distraction doesn't mean unravelling your work.
